a couple more fancy stepper cards

These two cards are made using the similar to the black and cream one I posted a few days ago. The above one I made in Baked Brown Sugar card base and stamped the Dictionary stamp background and then using marker pens directly on to the stamp we coloured just the flowers and leaves, the bird was stamped on a separate piece of card. The below one was an out of the box colour combo I wanted to try! hehe It's Bermuda Bay and Crisp Cantaloupe.

Thank you to everyone who commented on my original posting on this card style. I won't be posting the instructions for this card until after I finish teaching it, I have one class in October yet to teach so it will be posted after 20th October.

This weekend is Father's Day in New Zealand so I have a few cards to share with this in mind over the next few days. Don't forget the Stampin' Up! Warkworth event tomorrow, here are the details.

I LOVE the new Holiday Catalogue and you will too!!!

These LOVELY goodies are made from products straight from the new Holiday Catalogue which you can view online HERE. Don't forget that if you put in an individual order over $350 YOU get the Hostess Benefits!!! Gotta love FREE stuff.

You can order thru myself via phone, text or email or via my online shop HERE

The bow on top is made using a new die, same with the word "love" and the embossing folder. The  Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper (pg 29) has two sheets with metalic shine to it. And I LOVE the colours in it!

The Card was a quick (and I mean QUICK!) gift card to match the gift bag. The "brad" is made with clear embossing a punched circle - easy as!

JUST for you!

this is the cool card that we did yesterday at class. It's a stepper card that is cut on the Big Shot with a cool framelits. And OF CAUSE I had to use the DSP Modern Melody as it's my all time favourite!! It sits really well on a mantle and has a special spot on the back to write a private message.

some more SUNBURSTS to brighten your day!

Here are the last two cards using the sunburst idea. These are only 'half' sunburst - which creates a horizon and I played around with that idea in the card below - also I had the LOVELY sentiment stamp from Feel Goods stamp set so I put that inside the below card.

I have a class today so will start sharing the samples I have made for that class later this week :)

Retro Birthday

I love this colour combo! It's Midnight Muse, Calypso Coral and Pool Party. The paper is all out of the Etcetera DSP - one of my favourite DSP packs - so many different types of paper.
Just a quick post today - see you later :)

I'm SO grateful....

another sunburst card - this time in Vanilla and Black! LOVE the papers from Modern Medley DSP packet. The sentiment is from Chalk Talk - I coloured the stamp with marker pens and then mounted it on a stamp from Four Frames - both lightly sponged with black.  Dash of Real Red helps to 'warm' up the whole card.

AWESOME..... thanks!

here is another sunburst card. This one I didn't use a card map, I just cut scraps to points and then just layered them around from the center point and then trimming the outside to form the card. I LOVE the colours and retro patterns of this DSP - Venetian Romance. It's one of the lovely packs available in our Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. I used just a white gel pen to create the different stitches on the 'seams' but you could actually sew them if you want - I was just being lazy but pleased with how it actually came out!

Happy Birthday Marion!

Last night we went the the masquerade party to celebrate a friend's, Marion, 50th. I showed you the masks I made for my husband and I to wear and here is the card that I made which matches my mask. I just LOVE the glitter card that Stampin' Up! sell. Here I have used all 3 colours and I used a style called "Sunburst". I taught 'sunburst' cards last week at my classes so I have a few samples to show you. I mounted this one on Basic Black card base and used Brushed Silver for the numbers.
Below is a pic of hubby and me at the party - I don't often share family photos on here but this shows off our masks and you cant really see too many of my chins! hehe

Masquerade Party!

This weekend we are off to a friends 50th and it's a masquerade party so I just HAD to make some masks. I got the bases at a discount shop for just $2 each, they are a hard paper mache mask which is great for working on. I used ONLY Stampin' Up! products to decorate them.

This is my husbands one. I used the Modern Medley DSP then the Glitter Paper. It start as silver glitter but I coloured it with the black marker pen. You'd want to use an older pen to do this as it does scuff up the nib, I just used an older one that was pretty scuffed up to start with! I used the Bird Punch 'wing' for the pieces around the eyes.

This one is my one. I did paint the face silver with our old shimmer paint then U covered the top bit with red glitter paper. With the plain silver glitter paper I punched out butterflies from our smallest butterfly punch and again used the wing from the bird punch for the gold glitter card feature. I lined the eyes with the line of jewels to finish it off. Looking forward to making a card themed too!

Let's get back into creating!

I know I have been a bit slow in my blogging of late - life has just got in the way! lol BUT I did make a card for a friend who's birthday was yesterday. I love the NEW In Colours and on this one I used Coastal Cabana and Strawberry Slush. To create the coloured antique brad I just pushed into Versamark pad and then dipped it in Melon Mambo embossing powder and very CAREFULLY heat it. You do need to hold the brad with tweezers or plyers so you don't burn yourself! lol I do enjoy stamping on patterned paper too - always fun and creates a different look.

There are TWO promo's happening this month. Firstly the "best of 25 years" stamps are celebrating Shelli's favourites - Shelli being the company's co-founder!  The second one is the buy 3 get 1 free DSP (Designers Series Paper) packs. THIS is only on for the month of  August so contact me asap to place your order of either products :)
