teen boy card number 1

this was a REALLY easy card to put together thanks to the wonderful Stampin' Up! DSP Well Worn. That DSP pack is FULL of great images for masculine cards, which as we all know are ALWAYS the hardest cards to do! I cut the teenage boy image out with Stampin' Up! cardstock so it works soooooo well with the DSP. A bit of denim ribbon and some staples and the card was done.

soft and pretty

this is the last of these lacy cards (I promise! hehe) This is Wisteria Wonder - so a soft pale purple. It's amazing how the different colours of the same card look so differently! I like the monochromatic look when you have such a fancy boarder punch. To achieve this I have used the Paper Stacks that Stampin' Up! sell - for each colour family and incolour family you get at least 4 sheets of monochromatic paper (the incolour packs have 8 sheets) in two different styles which helps make PERFECT monochromatic cards.
Tomorrow I have some lovely cards I made for my god son and his twin brother - see you then, and thanks for visiting.

happy birthday hubby!

today is my darling (and very patient) husbands birthday - and a big "0" too! I was running out of time so didn't get to make a big fancy card for him but I managed to throw this together for him. He loves cars, boats and travelling (and would one day like to fly a plane!) so I thought the sentiment of "may all your wishes come true!" would be perfect! We do have 4 cars (his, mine, sons a & a classic mustang) and a boat so we are slowly getting there hee hee! but I totally refuse to get a plane!! there would be nowhere for it to go! LOL
Anyway Craig - hope you have a lovely birthday xxxx

never to early for espresso

This is another version of the card I posted yesterday but this time it's in Early Espresso and Very Vanilla. I just fell in love with this style of card I just kept on making them! They are sooooooooo easy! And because of the busy detail of the punched out sections you don't need much decoration to embellish it. A bit of plain DSP, a sentiment or two and a bow. Couldn't be easier!
Have a great day!

love a lacey card!!!

Firstly I apologize for my delay in posting - my camera died and my kids were never around when I needed their camera!!! SO I have a whole heap all ready for the next week or two! hehe

This card is SO easy to make it's not funny!! The hardest part is pressing the big punch! I cut the A4 in half long ways and score in half. Then using the Lace Boarder punch punch twice down one side - the key is to flip the card over and punch it from the inside. If you don't do it this way you will have different sides as one has a punch out at the top and one doesn't. If you look at the picture below you will see these differences at the top of the card. But as I said just flip the card over ensuring you punch from the fold in the card down you will be right. A lesson I learnt AFTER I made the below card! hehe
