Envelope Punch Board is now available

YES Stampin' Up! have brought out a punch board. It's original purpose is for making envelopes but there are HEAPS of other things you can make from it. These include boxes, tabs and many many more. There are lots of videos and tutorials about on how to do things - HERE is the Stampin' Up! one
Here is a card I made using the punch board to make the tabs at the top of it. This idea I got from a swap from Rachael Knight. I used the new embossing folder - Stylish Stripes - and then added 1cm strips on five of the stripes.
The board costs only $38.95 which is very competitive! Don't forget it of cause any purchase can go towards Hostess dollars and my own 'chocolate treats' loyalty cards. Email me to place your order and I will throw in some Designer Series Paper so you can start making pretty envelopes straight away!
There are other great promos happening at mo so I will post those over the next few days!

Stunning Single Star

can I just say I LOVE THIS STAR!!!!! This is the single stamp call "Christmas Star Single Stamp" is currently on special at $15.71 till Monday - such value for money! You can use it as a flat image or score each of the lines on it and create a 3D embellishment. The above card I stamped and heat embossed it with Real Red, where as the below decoration is stamped with Cherry Cobbler. The decoration was 'interesting' to make and before you ask Linda NO we won't be doing it for a class! hee hee! It was very fiddly with working out the little tabs to enable the two scored stars to be joined. (It's the same 3D look on both sides). You could I guess just have it one sided?? Anyway if you haven't bought it yet contact me ASAP to add it to my order for Monday!! I'm away for the long weekend from midday tomorrow but will be back late Monday afternoon so you won't miss out. Email me at :) REMEMBER there are LOTS of other great specials this week - click HERE to see them all.

very stylized Christmas scene

This is my take on another cool card I saw on Pinterest HERE
I used brushed gold card stock again. Stamped the background with the Grunge stamp set - don't forget that one's on sale at mo (see yesterdays post for details). And I hand cut the 'trees'. and put a line of Dazzling Diamonds on the edge of the 'snow'. I love the depth that the layering creates for this card.

Vellum Delight!

Here is a card I made using brushed gold card as base. The original idea I got from Pinterest HERE - which has a Crumb Cake base. I used white craft ink directly onto vellum then heat embossed with white embossing powder. I stamped the image three times to get all the layers I wanted. I also stamped on the gold card behind the pointsettia the same way - a sprinkling of pearls and and easy card was done. I'm really pleased with how it turned out! Just LOVE this Joyful Christmas stamp - I have used it SO many times!

Floating Stars

Last weekend my upline put a training and and each training we do swaps - this time I didn't participate as I had only recently done one in Christchurch BUT I 'borrowed' some ideas from the girls who did. Narelle H made a card that had a snow flake hanging from some ribbon and a bow and I thought mmmmmmm I could make other things hang. I decided to use acetate strips to make them look like the stars were just floating in the circle! I used the lovely Pewter embossing powder for all my stamping - it might not show very well on this Cherry Cobbler card but it's all nice a shiny! I've made a few other samples so come back over the next few days :)

Happy Birthday to my Mother In Law

Today in my mother-in-laws birthday and yesterday they flew to Australia for a long holiday so in the weekend I gave her this card. She isn't overly feminine so the harder lines of this DSP "I Am Me" was perfect. The matching stamp set - Around The World is a fun set for both card making AND scrapbooking. All those travel photos you have will love sharing pages with this set.

Again I use the "lever card" tutorial, loving this fold, and MIL Jan loved the card!

What does the fox say????

if you have no idea what I'm on about check out the latest YouTube clip to go viral HERE
It's a very cool song and video and when I saw a card on Pinterest that had used the Magnificent Maple stamp for a wolf face I KNEW I HAD TOO make a card with reference to the song!
I stamp the sentiment with the new Craft Black ink onto Ivory Natural card stock. It leaves a great solid dark image that dries well.
Have a great day :)

Monday - time for coffee and friends!!

This is a card I made using the 'lever' card tutorial from Spiltcoast Stampers website. It is a fun and fairly easy card and I taught it last time at my home class. The DSP I used is the Sweater Weather one from the Holiday Mini (page 18). It's a great combo of masculine and feminine colours and prints. AND I LOVED using Chocolate Chip again - it was like having a coffee with an old friend! lol I usually use Early Espresso these days but this DSP uses Chocolate Chip and it was great to dust off the ol' faithful Choc Chip again!!! The stamp set is Perfect Blend (page 37 in Main Catalogue) - a great 3 piece stamp set that is only $22.95 in clear mount or $26.95 in wood.

since it's Bathurst Sunday I thought it only right to share this card. It was made for my BIL who loves his Holden's(he is deluded but can't help that! hehe) and BMW's . I LOVE this set and will keep it long after it retires in the future! There are NEVER enough good masculine stamp sets it seems!!
Anyway go the blue oval of FORD!!!

a little bit of sunset

Here is a card I made with products from the Holiday Catalogue. I created the background sunset with a brayer and post it notes to create the size. I stamped the Magnificent Maple ($20.95) single stamp in Versamark and then sprinkled with Early Espresso embossing powder and heat set it. I also then coloured in the leaf with my Crushed Curry marker pen with made it a solid image.
Of cause I made the inside of the card to match!
