we did resist embossing today and Ann's craft class. We did that on these bagalopes - which is made from an envelope. I made this using Upsy Daisy and silver embossing powder, the background is sponged with baja breeze anad kiwi kiss. The top is not quite navy to match the embossed words.

coming up for next weeks class!
These are called 'step boxes' or another name they are called is 'fantasy box' (never Google 'fantasy box' - you will be shocked at what you find! lol)
They are cute as, and very easy to make. Only requires two sheets of 12x12 paper, some matching cardstock for the lid and some stiff card for inside the 'walls'.
Contact me about coming along next week to learn how to make them.

i love shrinky plastic!!!
I made this card today using the Priceless Stampin' Up! stamp set. I punched out the black shrinky plastic and then punched two holes in it so it looked like a button. I then stamped the image with Whisper White Craft Ink - then on my embossing board (a clip board covered with tin foil) I placed the plastic under a small tea strainer then using my heat tool I shrunk the plastic. It shrinks by about 200%.
Using the tea strainer means what you are embossing doesn't get blown away! If I was just embossing a image I hold it in place with the clip on the clipboard.
Now off to work out what else I can use the shrinky plastic for..............

we are making these at class on monday
they are dahlia folds. The paper clips show three different types of thes folds. They can be used on cards (like the tree on the card), scrapbooking or any off the page stuff. A great techneque to learn. Classes are Monday 12.30-2.30 & 7.30-9.30 (morning session 9.30-11.30 by arrangement) at my home.
Don't forget Stampin' Up! are having special hostess benifits for workshops with sales over $700. Not only will you have a few hours having fun crafting with friends but you can pick either a level one or a level two hostess stamp set plus a minimum of $130 of hostess dollars to spend on anything from our Ideas Book and Catalogue.
If you haven't got our latest catalogue I have stock available. All my catalogues are spiral bound which makes it easier to look thru and keeps it protected. (They have clear plastic covers too!) Contact me now for your catalugue for only $14.95.

for something a wee bit different
I was asked to make a thank you card for the dj at the local primary school where I sell my cards at. I wanted to do some thing a bit different so decided to do this piramid card as they seem to be the 'in' card at the mo! They are really easy and fun to make. The back of this has a part that opens up where they can write a message to the dj. The school colours are the paua colours and the paua shell is 'their' thing.
