more circles!!

here is a 6"x 6" scrap page using the #2 circle die again. This time is used the paper weight vellum and once I put it thru the machine I crunched them up. The great thing with this die is that you can cut all your circles at once - so I cut the 15 circles in one swipe thru the Big Shot! cool eh!!
I sponged both the vellum and the edges of the textured Whisper White cardstock. The stamp is from Life Definitions. The other colour I used was good ole Old Olive.
Have a great weekend - hopefully I will be posting again in the weekend.

Big Shot #2 Circle Die Flowers

man what a mouthful of a title! But I couldn't think of a better one! hehe
These flowers were made using the #2 Circles Big Shot die. I love the fact that the Big Shot will cut so many different things - here I have used vellum, felt and denim and you can cut all your circles at the one time, so much easier than punches! The two lower flowers are actually broaches, they have pins on the back. The one on the card can be peeled off as it is just attached to the card with Velcro. So the card is a gift as well as a card! How cool is that! There are soooooo many other mediums you could use for these flowers plus heaps of different was to use them. I think they would be awesome on a scrap book page. So why not come to my class on Wednesday the 4th August to find out. Check out the times and other information on the Class schedule page at the top of this blog.
ps - you will have to wait a little longer to find out about the cool denim bag!

Just Add Ink Challange #27

this week the girls over at http://www.just-add-ink.blogspot.com/ have come up with a sketch challenge. It is such a cool sketch that I thought I would show you how versatile a good sketch can be. I created all four cards using the same sketch. Now before you all leave a comment about how crooked one of the squares on the last card - I only noticed it as I was loading them up and thought 'what the heck' but I kept it in anyway - might put a little smile on someones face! LOL
You can interpret the sketch in many ways. One I used circles and turned the sketch on it's head. Another one I changed the squares to the flowers. Then you can go from a 'kiss' card (kiss- keep it simple sister! lol) or to a very fussy card.
Next time you are stumped for a card, google sketches and see what you can create - or even easier join us add 'just add ink'!
thanks again.

Birthday Birds

this sweet card is for a sweet young girl who's turning 5 today.

It's made from punches. I used three circle punches for the body, and the two step bird punch for the 'parents' wings and the branch part for the little birds wing. I used the photo corner punch for the birds becks. Also the hats are created by punching out a circle then cut a wedge. I just drew the legs on. I love the 'little family' that you can create with this idea.

The little sentiment is from the current level one hostess set in the Autumn-Winter mini - you can earn the whole set by hosting an event/workshop with orders or personally order yourself a minimum of $350 worth of products.

stamping on silk scarves

This week at class we stamped on silk scarves. This is so easy and so much fun. They make lovely presents, esp. when presented in the decorated boxes that we made. I have used the 5th Avenue & Vintage Vogue stamp sets.
If you would like to learn how to do this contact me today to book in workshop or a class at your place. If you would find it easier you are welcome to have your workshop at my place in Albany - you just invite your friends, bring a packet of biccies and I will do the rest - and you still get to keep all the free hostess benefits for qualifying sales.

the last trendy bag

here is the last of the three bags that I made to show you. It's made using the Urban Oasis DSP and Kiwi Kiss textured card stock and ribbon. They are all very cool fun to make and use - this one would be great for a gift card or vouchers etc. I used the Oval All stamp set from the Summer Mini Catalogue and I am hoping it will come back in the new Idea Book & Catalogue that is coming out on the 1st September.
I will be holding a launch party on Sunday the 12th September at 1.30pm to celebrate the new catalogue. It will be a fun afternoon to see the new catty, try some new products, prizes, giveaways etc. This is a FREE event so why not market it in your calender. The first 10 people to book their spot will receive a voucher! SO email or phone me julia.leece@slingshot.co.nz
Wait till you see what I have to show you tomorrow! We are stamping on scarves today at classes - there is still time come along tonight from 7.30pm and join in!

a very chic black tote

believe it or not this is just made from textured card stock! Isn't it the cutest! I wish I had a real bag like this - this one is only about 3 inches high so best not to take shopping but maybe to carry chocolates around! lol
This is another design by Becky Roberts www.inkingidaho.blogspot.com. I used a Stampin' Up! white gel pen to make the stitching. I think it's the stitching that really makes this tote 'pop'. I have spent A LOT of time looking for the best white gel pen and discovered that the one that we sell is the BEST of the BEST. It has great coverage as you can see how well it works on black. The little clasp brad is from the filigree brad set - yummy eh!
I still have one more to show you tomorrow! see you then.
