Crafters Anonymous class last night

we made this cute uber-easy box. The bottom part 'flops' open once the lid is taken off. Dee Sturgeon taught us this - it's not very big - about 2" square perfect for a wee pressy like jewelery! hehe
I decided to use some retired Confetti card stock, retired ribbon and a retired punch. Sort of like a last hoorah! The satin fabric behind was a lovely piece I picked up at a craft show in Hamilton last week - can't wait to create something out of it!

a lacey ladies card

this is the last of the suit/shirt card in this series. This one I added our lace ribbon to the collar. Again I added a layer of DSP to the collar so the inside matches the outside. I have also added a hankie for a sentiment and lots of faux stitching around it too.
I had my new catty launch yesterday so tomorrow I will show some of the projects that were on display etc.
Have a lovely week!!

a ladies bright dress card

Here is another version of the suit card - this time it's a shirt dress. I did start out making a mans Hawaiian shirt but changed my mind half way thru - I could so I did! lol
To have the inside fabric of the collar to match the shirt I had to adhere another piece of DSP to the inside so when it was folded over it matched the shirt. Used the paper piercer and marker pen to do the stitching. The pearl necklace is just two sized pearls - the bigger ones are new to the catalogue this time around.
I have ONE more card in this series to show you - hopefully will show you over the weekend.

for a posh bloke!!!

here is the 'formal' version of the suit card. I made the strips with the stripes embossing folder, as the card is wider than the folder I embossed it twice. It is easy to do it with this folder as you just have to ensure you place the folder into the right 'grove' so it adds it seamlessly. I the close if from the new stamp set "Clockwork"
Two more suit/shirt cards over the next few days. See you then :)

Pintrest Tuesday Suit Card

It was Tuesday again yesterday and that means Pintrest time! I found this cool card from Mel of Mel Stamps - here is her original one http://pinterest.com/pin/76420524897817121/
I decided I would make a 'safari suit' version cause my dad used to ROCK the safari suit in Gisborne in the summer of the 80's - well ROCK probably isn't the correct word - I don't think it was a great fashion statement but he wore one anyway! hehe
I love this style of card - so I made a few more including a female version and I will post over the next few days. But can you see the chest hair??? hee hee

A unique box on Crafters Anonymous class last night

This cool box was what we did on Tia Rougtledges online class last night. It's based on the old sandwich box but you can put ANYTHING in it. I used new products to decorate my Rich Razzleberry and Daffodil Delight.
Below is how I adapted the tutorial so I can open and close it to refill and reuse it. The acetate pops in under the bottom flap.

Today's first task is to do my Pintrest Tuesday project mmmmmmmm what to pick????
