let's make mud!!!
here is another masculine card - this one is very different from the last few. I wanted to create a card that had 'mud' on it! To this one I sponged Versamark directly on to the card and used Early Espresso embossing powder and heated it. then I used the sprizter with the gold marker pen we sell and that gave it a bit more depth. The sentiment is stamped using the mini alpha directly on to the linen ribbon (in current mini). The quad bike is from the Need for Speed stamp set - so cool and PERFECT for the adventurers in our family. As usual all the products are Stampin' Up! The backgrounds are all embossed thru the Big Shot.

masculine gift card holder
Here is another masculine card and this is using the same format as the last card I posted. It's made by cutting a normal piece of card stock in half long ways and then you fold in half and then the front flap you fold in half again and this is what you use to create your pocket for a gift card. I used Night of Navy and Soft Suede for the colours - very masculine indeed! And of cause my faithful "Dapper Dad" stamp set from Stampin' Up!. I love the strength that multi-layers give.
I stamped the watch several times in different colours to get the 3D look to it. And the buttons make it look like a shirt cuff. A space on the back is where you can write a message to the birthday boy.
Have a great day!

3 Cheers for you!!!
when I first saw the baby stamp set Little Additions I knew I wanted to make this card - it's only taken me a year or two LOL. I did think about changing the sentiment to say "chairs" but thought it was funnier being more subtle! The floor and wallpaper is from the "Parker's Patterns" which is a great DSP for masculine projects. The pictures I changed one - took the word 'cute' out and use the Ittie Bitties tiny stamps. The sentiment is from the Happy Hour and I stamped them in versamark and then heat embossed them with Early Espresso embossing powder so they have a 'leathery' look to them!.
Have a lovely weekend - I have a busy dizzy one with lots happening so I will see you again on Monday ! xx

CHEERS!!!!
I have had this set for some time and not really used it much. So I decide to design a card that would be a good one for a workshop/party. It uses a few different techniques but not to daunting for new stampers too. The first is the simple embossed DSP background - I used the Colour Families DSP stacks for all the DSPs - the background one is Bashful Blue and the other two are More Mustard and Cherry Cobbler. The glasses were coloured with Stampin' Markers so the glass and liquid could be different colours and then cut out. To stop them 'floating' on the card I punched a oval out of some scrap paper and used the hole as a stencil. Then lastly I stamped the 'cheers' - also coloured with the Basic Black Stampin' Marker as our Basic Black stamp pad is not available to be used on Whisper White as it won't dry BUT the marker pen DOES!! It also gives it a good solid look.
I think this card has a bit of a retro feel to it - which is oh so trendy at the mo! thanks for visiting my blog :)

the sky's the limit!
I decided I needed to have more masculine cards - I reckon you can never have enough of them and many of us find it harder to do them. So I have a series of masculine cards to show you over the next wee while. This first one is a card design I called "flip back card" cause I couldn't think of a better name for it! lol I saw this fold originally on a card Andrea Gideon showed on the Stampin' Up! demo only site Stampin' Connection. It's a card fold that is so simple but never thought of it before. I have made some other samples that contain a pocket for a gift card too - so come back over the next week to see them. I am also teaching this card today at my class.

a little bit cheeky but......
Last night I taught this cheeky card to the ladies on Crafter's Anonymous, it's been around for a while this idea and it certainly isn't my original design. For the top version I made a template to get the shape - I used a takeaway coffee cup to get the 'curves' right. The below card, which is about half the size of the top version, I used the Hearts Framelits die - you fold a piece of skin coloured card in half and place the heart die over it so the fold is just under half way down - the heart is upside down of cause! I used the biggest non scalloped heart die. For the curve on the bra and on the G-string I used one of the new Oval Framelits. SUCH FUN.

the other day at training at my upline we had a challenge to make something from the new Boutique Boxes Designer Printed kit which is on page 25 of the Seasonal Mini. There was a bit of a competition so this is what I made. I didn't win cause I got disqualified cause I used a punch that wasn't in the kit! hehehehehe I'm such a rebel at times!!!!! hehe
