REV IT UP for Father's Day!

Here in New Zealand it's Father's Day and this is the card I made for my hubby. We have a mustang and so I wanted to include it's 'theme' into the card. I love this type of card fold - so easy but very effective! I used both our brushed silver card and the new silver foil from the Holiday catalogue. I included the red as our upholstery is red and that is why I did the 'seat looking texture' on one side of the card. Below is our car -photos from last years Annual Mustang Convention held in Wellington where we won first place in the '67 & '68 Hard Top section. This year the convention is in Hamilton at Labour Weekend, there's more cars here now so there will be some tough competition!

So HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all those men that have a positive influence on children!

a couple more fancy stepper cards

These two cards are made using the similar to the black and cream one I posted a few days ago. The above one I made in Baked Brown Sugar card base and stamped the Dictionary stamp background and then using marker pens directly on to the stamp we coloured just the flowers and leaves, the bird was stamped on a separate piece of card. The below one was an out of the box colour combo I wanted to try! hehe It's Bermuda Bay and Crisp Cantaloupe.

Thank you to everyone who commented on my original posting on this card style. I won't be posting the instructions for this card until after I finish teaching it, I have one class in October yet to teach so it will be posted after 20th October.

This weekend is Father's Day in New Zealand so I have a few cards to share with this in mind over the next few days. Don't forget the Stampin' Up! Warkworth event tomorrow, here are the details.

I LOVE the new Holiday Catalogue and you will too!!!

These LOVELY goodies are made from products straight from the new Holiday Catalogue which you can view online HERE. Don't forget that if you put in an individual order over $350 YOU get the Hostess Benefits!!! Gotta love FREE stuff.

You can order thru myself via phone, text or email or via my online shop HERE

The bow on top is made using a new die, same with the word "love" and the embossing folder. The  Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper (pg 29) has two sheets with metalic shine to it. And I LOVE the colours in it!

The Card was a quick (and I mean QUICK!) gift card to match the gift bag. The "brad" is made with clear embossing a punched circle - easy as!

JUST for you!

this is the cool card that we did yesterday at class. It's a stepper card that is cut on the Big Shot with a cool framelits. And OF CAUSE I had to use the DSP Modern Melody as it's my all time favourite!! It sits really well on a mantle and has a special spot on the back to write a private message.

some more SUNBURSTS to brighten your day!

Here are the last two cards using the sunburst idea. These are only 'half' sunburst - which creates a horizon and I played around with that idea in the card below - also I had the LOVELY sentiment stamp from Feel Goods stamp set so I put that inside the below card.

I have a class today so will start sharing the samples I have made for that class later this week :)

Retro Birthday

I love this colour combo! It's Midnight Muse, Calypso Coral and Pool Party. The paper is all out of the Etcetera DSP - one of my favourite DSP packs - so many different types of paper.
Just a quick post today - see you later :)

I'm SO grateful....

another sunburst card - this time in Vanilla and Black! LOVE the papers from Modern Medley DSP packet. The sentiment is from Chalk Talk - I coloured the stamp with marker pens and then mounted it on a stamp from Four Frames - both lightly sponged with black.  Dash of Real Red helps to 'warm' up the whole card.
