Envelope Punch Board is now available

YES Stampin' Up! have brought out a punch board. It's original purpose is for making envelopes but there are HEAPS of other things you can make from it. These include boxes, tabs and many many more. There are lots of videos and tutorials about on how to do things - HERE is the Stampin' Up! one
Here is a card I made using the punch board to make the tabs at the top of it. This idea I got from a swap from Rachael Knight. I used the new embossing folder - Stylish Stripes - and then added 1cm strips on five of the stripes.
The board costs only $38.95 which is very competitive! Don't forget it of cause any purchase can go towards Hostess dollars and my own 'chocolate treats' loyalty cards. Email me to place your order and I will throw in some Designer Series Paper so you can start making pretty envelopes straight away! julia.leece@vodafone.co.nz
There are other great promos happening at mo so I will post those over the next few days!

Stunning Single Star

can I just say I LOVE THIS STAR!!!!! This is the single stamp call "Christmas Star Single Stamp" is currently on special at $15.71 till Monday - such value for money! You can use it as a flat image or score each of the lines on it and create a 3D embellishment. The above card I stamped and heat embossed it with Real Red, where as the below decoration is stamped with Cherry Cobbler. The decoration was 'interesting' to make and before you ask Linda NO we won't be doing it for a class! hee hee! It was very fiddly with working out the little tabs to enable the two scored stars to be joined. (It's the same 3D look on both sides). You could I guess just have it one sided?? Anyway if you haven't bought it yet contact me ASAP to add it to my order for Monday!! I'm away for the long weekend from midday tomorrow but will be back late Monday afternoon so you won't miss out. Email me at julia.leece@vodafone.co.nz :) REMEMBER there are LOTS of other great specials this week - click HERE to see them all.

very stylized Christmas scene

This is my take on another cool card I saw on Pinterest HERE
I used brushed gold card stock again. Stamped the background with the Grunge stamp set - don't forget that one's on sale at mo (see yesterdays post for details). And I hand cut the 'trees'. and put a line of Dazzling Diamonds on the edge of the 'snow'. I love the depth that the layering creates for this card.

Thinlits are here too!!!

Launched today are these great Thinlits sets. They make an awesome card aswell as they have some great smaller dies with them. There are lots of tutorials that are around too on how to use these other than the obvious card. I have both sets and LOVE them!!!

Vellum Delight!

Here is a card I made using brushed gold card as base. The original idea I got from Pinterest HERE - which has a Crumb Cake base. I used white craft ink directly onto vellum then heat embossed with white embossing powder. I stamped the image three times to get all the layers I wanted. I also stamped on the gold card behind the pointsettia the same way - a sprinkling of pearls and and easy card was done. I'm really pleased with how it turned out! Just LOVE this Joyful Christmas stamp - I have used it SO many times!

Floating Stars

Last weekend my upline put a training and and each training we do swaps - this time I didn't participate as I had only recently done one in Christchurch BUT I 'borrowed' some ideas from the girls who did. Narelle H made a card that had a snow flake hanging from some ribbon and a bow and I thought mmmmmmm I could make other things hang. I decided to use acetate strips to make them look like the stars were just floating in the circle! I used the lovely Pewter embossing powder for all my stamping - it might not show very well on this Cherry Cobbler card but it's all nice a shiny! I've made a few other samples so come back over the next few days :)
