cicles with circle circus

A version of this card was shown to us at a recent training session. Isn't it neat!! The stencil is made from the circle Big Shot die and then I sponged thru it followed by stamping in Stazon thru it with the Circle Circus stamp. I tweaked it a bit to finish it off two what Sophie demonstrated but I think it gives it a real Retro look. It's great to see the same set used in different ways.

Cicle Circus Collection

Yesterday I had a fun day crafting with a friend and fellow Stampin' Up! demo Bron Helsop http://bronheslop.wordpress.com/ and we made our own DSP (Designer Series Paper) using the Circus Circle stamp set and the yummy in colours -Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo & Soft Suede. We decided we would make the lovely album set that was shown to us at our Auckland Regional Training by Sandee Everette. This cool WOW project is made using the scallop envelope die and the wonderful Big Shot machine. The album is 6 envelopes tied together with ribbon and the little wallet that holds it is made using 2 envelopes. We made a card to match - aren't they cute!!

Diorama Cards

I have been wanting to make one of these cards for a while and in the weekend my upline Jacque Pederson demonstrated one and I was inspired to create one too!! Well actually I have made three now hehe!

This one I made for a friend and fellow demo Yvonne for her 50th birthday. I used the colour challenge (#25) over on Just Add Ink as a starting point - may as well enter a challenge while creating! Remember to click on the blinkie on the right hand side to go direct to the Just Add Ink blog.

So the challenge was to use Rose Red, Very Vanilla, Soft Suede & Elegant Eggplant. So I used the lovely Vintage Vogue stamp set and Very Vintage Jumbo wheel. I coloured some of the wheel stamp in with Rose Red and Elegant Eggplant, sponged the edges with Rose Red and used the roll technique to get the flowers looking like that. I added some pearls from the Pretties Kit, a bit of Elegant Eggplant ribbon (can you see it at the back?) These cards are a little difficult to take photos of due to the layering but I hope you can get the idea. I had to stamp an envelope to match too! Always add's a nice touch.

a couple more samples

here are three more samples of my Medallion stamp cards. The Soft Suede one I wheeled the Very Vogue wheel inked with Soft Suede over the versamarked Medallion stamp instead of using the spritzer.

The next one is Regal Rose and Elegant Eggplant and the last one is Not Quiet Navy and Real Red.

I hope you enjoyed my production line of Medallion Stamp cards - I, even after producing some many (and trust me I made 5 of the Grey one while practising for the presentation) I still LOVE the Medallion stamp - and I will find more awesome ways to show its beauty!

a sponged version

here is a different version of the embossed resist card I showed yesterday. Again I covered the Medallion stamp with versamark then spritzed Rose Red and Regal Rose markers in to it. Then stamped it and covered the image with clear embossing powder and heat set it.

This time I sponged over the image with Old Olive and a little around the edge of the card. Added a Old Olive bit of ribbon and a salutation (my second favourite word behind embellishment! lol ) and shes done.

Brayer Resist Medallion Card

I have been waiting for AGES to be able to share this card. I designed it nearly a month ago but had to wait till today to show it to you as I presented at the Auckland Stampin' Up! Regional Training for demonstrators as a WOW presentation. Firstly I was thrilled to be asked - only two of us out of the 60+ guests were ask, and even more flattered that the 'powers that be' thought it was good enough to present.

What I did to create it was cover the Medallion stamp with versamark, then spritzed Basic Grey and Going Grey then stamped it on to the card and part on the envelope. I covered this with clear embossing powder and heat set it with a heat tool.

Then I brayered Going Grey over the embossed images, and wiped over Medallion image with a tissue or paper towel to remove any ink on the shiny image. I tore the edges of this to reveal the white core to age it up. I inked up the flap on the envelope too.

I layered it up with a stamped image from the Rustic Rooster (hostess set) set and then on to a Basic Black card. A bit of taffeta Basic Grey ribbon and a salutation from Teeny Tiny Tags on some scraps and its done.

I have made a few variations of this and I will share them over the next few days.

Baby Girl Card

I love making baby cards for people, they are just so cute!! This card is for the daughter of a friend of mine in Tauranga who's due to have her baby girl TODAY!!! I had hoped she would deliver the baby yesterday when it was my daughters birthday.

To make the card I stamped "Fox and Friends" in the three colours and cut them out leaving a wee tag at the bottom, and then covered it with Crystal Effects. This way I hoped to make them look like balloons.

I also used the Lots of Dots Big Shot embossing folder, added the matching bow and then layered it up.

I hope I hear soon when the baby's born, I am hopeless at waiting! lol
