Last night I took the online class at Crafters Anonymous and this is the card we made. The original card idea came from a friend of mine in Hamilton and she shared it with me when I stayed last month. It is a REALLY easy card really - just need a Zutter, a cropadile or a punch to make the holes. I LOVE the First Edition DSP and the 'antique' look it gives. It's great to stamp directly on to too. 
this card I made for a friends daughter who turns 6 today! she's like all other girls and loves all things pink and sparkly!! This is the very first time I have actually put ink on this stamp set - Take A Spin. I actually coloured the stamp with marker pens as I wanted different parts with different colours - I use Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo and Real Red. I had to add the glitter sheets and of cause some fabulous DSP! 
this hexagon pin cushion is all hand sewn and it's made from the Stampin' Up! fabric "Deck the Hall". I like having some hand work I can do late afternoon/evening with my feet up. I saw this idea at a quilt show recently and thought it was an easy project. I think I might make a few more and either sell them or give them away for 'hostess gifts'. Every time I do a Stampin' Up! workshop/party the hostess who holds it not only has a chance to get FREE product (on qualifying sales) they get a FREE Stampin' Up! a new product that Stampin' Up! are putting out shortly is the new DIAGONAL plate for the Simply Scored scoring tool. It's so neat - you can make neat as diagonal score lines (which I have done on the white of the card although it doesn't show that well in the photos) but you can make EASY matching envelopes and this cool box. I am sure over the next wee while we will see heaps of other things that can be done with it. 
I used Night Of Navy which is a lush dark blue and silver embossing powder along with the silvery white sparkly card. Even though Christmas in New Zealand is in the middle of summer we still think of all things sparkly when it comes to the festive season. I also used the colour stacks for the DSP which I find is AWESOME for monochromatic style projects. You could use DSP in the hole in the center but I decided to stamp in silver embossing powder and I'm pleased with how it came out.

Yesterday I had a bit of a play with one of the new products that is going to be released soon. It's a diagonal plate for the wonderful Simply Scored scoring tool. It's very cool and one of the things it can do is help you make envelopes SO EASY!!! And doesn't a matching envelope help make a card so more personalised? This Stampin' Up! DSP is Beau Chateau and it's so pretty. Of cause I had to use my favourite Big Shot Framelits on the card with the DSP and that great bow! I also used our Vanilla Confetti card as my card base - it's made from recycled paper and has flecks of other colours through it which give it a nice soft look.
