Always Thinking of You!

The other Saturday I had a card making afternoon with some friends which is ALWAYS a great way to spend the day! One of the girls was making a cool card with coloured flowers on a black background and I really loved the look of it. I've kept to the same idea although the stamps, colours, layout etc is different - but thanks Dionne for the cool idea!!

A Golfers Birthday!

Friday was my eldest brother's birthday and this is the card I made for him. Yes he is a GOLF nut and so it was a fairly easy subject to choose for him. It was a very easy card actually! lol I used three different greens for the grass and our fab Fringe Scissors! Some easy embossing and it was done!
so Happy Birthday Dudley!

Golden Congratulation

Here is a fun easy card made with washi tape and brushed gold card. Of cause I managed to squeeze some gold sequins on it too! lol The card base is the brush gold then there are some strips of washi tape and some thin slivers of the gold card. The white card on front has the banner cut out using the framelits and I added a white heat embossed 'congratulation' just to finish it off.
Hope you have a fab weekend :)

You're AMAZING

another fun GOLDEN card - I used our gold card for the banner, and glued some sequins on. The vellum (same as yesterdays but spots this time instead of stripes) and a good ol' fashioned paper doily. A simple card but has some 'wow' impact especially with the Basic Black chevron embossed back ground card.

Glittering in Gold

I finally had a play with our new gold vellum and other gold embellishments. This card has a 'peep' hole in it so you can see the imagine on the inside of the card. I used gold embossing powder on the stamp inside. I've also used our gold sequins to along with the gold washi tape. The washi tape is BRILLIANT for holding or adhering vellum which is often hard to do without it showing.
Thanks for visiting my blog today :)

Into the Woods....

This cute as stamp set "Into The Woods" from Stampin' Up! is just so CUTE!!! I did a quick search on Pinterest and came across a card by Katie Melhus and I just had to do one simular. I stamped directly onto coloured card -Pumpkin Pie for the fox and Gumball Green for the trees, and coloured them in using lighter coloured markers - my fox with Crisp Cantalope and the trees with Pistachio Pudding - and it just gives it some depth. The fox was highled on the face, ears and tale with our white chalk pen. The clouds were the outline from the thought bubble from Just Stayin'  and just coloured in with Coastal Cabana.
I always say I'm not very good at kids cards so this is about as good as it gets! lol So thanks Katie for sharing your idea!!

Sandpipers on the Waters Edge

I enjoyed playing with this the stamp set Wetlands! It's so easy to create a mini work of art. This is the second card we made yesterday at my class. I made two the same with different sentiments. The background is made with the help of our watercolour paper which is heavy duty to enable it to take liquid. We wet the front of the card with plain water then added colour using our Aqua painter direct from a drop of reinker - we used Pool Party and Crumb Cake. I love how easy it is and how different each one is!
This is another c ard using the same stamp set - Wetlands - but this time I sponged the background. The 'you made my day' card was made using the same method as the first two  - this was the card I made at our last team training with my upline Jacque. It was fun to use 4 different Washi Tapes as well as the Grunge stamp set.
Thanks for visiting my blog :)

Seaside Birthday

this is one of the cards we made today at my class at home. We used the thought bubble out of the Just Sayin' Framelit's set - just cut in half. Of cause the seagull is the bird punch - just sponged and markers (Basic Black and Pumpkin Pie) for facial features. The 'piles' are hand cut after stamping the "Hardwood" stamp and rounded with the 1" circle punch. The sea is the woodgrain embossing folder. I saw the idea on Pinterest (STILL in love with that site! lol) but there was no link to where it came from - if it was your idea then please let me know. I did add the clouds and the sentiment flag on mast and used the stamps rather than embossing folder to change it up but still the idea was BRILLIANT so THANK YOU!

My Crafting Space

I have spent the last two days sorting out my craftroom - something us crafters seem to do (well NEED to) once or twice a year! lol so before it gets 'messy' again I thought I'd share my space with you. Above photo is where most of my Stampin' Up! tools and toys are. You can see the stamps, punches, inks etc. The baskets right at the top of the cabinet is cards etc ready for selling. Plus my racks for markets. In the cupboards are my Stampin' Up! cardstock etc - well away from sunlight.

This is my Big Shot section - the cabinet used to be a stereo rack! lol

This is my 'sewing' corner. Underneath the desk is boxes FULL of fabric - whoops! lol And more under the sheet by the window - that's the stuff I'm working with now.

This is the table I use for teaching. The drawers at the back hold papers, tools etc.

These two photos show inside the cupboard behind the curtain. Lots more tools, and supplies - retired product and storage containers etc.

This is an overall view of the room. I like to look up when crafting and seeing nice things on display in my shelves. Some are personal stuff some are current samples. Thanks for stopping by and visiting my craft room.

Happy 75th Birthday Mum!!

Yesterday was my mother's birthday - told you I had a busy week! lol This is the card I made for her. I stamped the Poppy image in Calypso Coral directly on to the DSP then coloured in with marker pens, firstly with Crisp Cantilope then highlighting in Calypso Coral. I used Certainly Celery for the steams and that was the colour of the card base too. The DSP I used was Venetian Romance. Don't forget that we have less than 2 months to run on the current catalogue so if you have your eye on something - esp. something like DSP you better order quick before it runs out!!!
