Background Bliss

Firstly - so sorry it's been ages since my last post - we've had school holidays, a family funeral and other yucky stuff and I've just not had much crafting time. Things are getting back to normal (ish) now and I got to spend  half a day playing in my craft room and will be sharing these cards over the next few days.
To start the ball rolling I am showing you a version of the last technique I shared. This is the alcohol marker pen marbling one. What I did was stamp some stars in white ink and some in versamark which I heat embossed with red embossing powder. I then chopped it up and just randomly put them on some card. Added a few bits of bling which I coloured with Blendibilities. I just LOVE the word dies as part of the Wonderful Wreath Framelits Dies

by themselves they are $51.95 or team them up with the Wondrous Wreath Stamp Set and you can save on the bundle for only $90.75

a Krafty Santa!

I REALLY love the look of Kraft card with black and white so when I Googled Stached Santa I found Amy O'Neill's card HERE I just HAD to CASE it - I love this Santa's super duper mustache and using our mustache die to cut him out. Then I wondered how our Blendie's would go directly on to the Kraft card and was really impressed at the depth of colour so below is another card doing just that. I used our white chalk pen for the white on the card. :)

Holiday Home Collection

One of my favourite stamp sets in the Holiday catalogue is the Holiday Home set. I have had a wee play and came up with a few samples. Above is two Christmas ones, I decided not to put a sentiment on the first one, a card doesn't NEED a sentiment everytime, I think it's pretty obvious what the card is about. I used a 3 masks to achieve the layered effect, then coloured them in with Blendabilities. The second one I just used the blendies again but to add bits of colour.

I LOVE using Kraft - this is more 'flecky' than Crumb Cake card stock and goes so well with black and white. I used both the white gel pen and the chalk board marker.

This one I used a brayer to get the colour on the background and Blendies for the house. The moon was created with a punched hole and a bit of sponging. You can see how much fun this set it to use! Love it!
