making the pillow die longer

here is a group of cards that I recently made. The three cards and envelopes go in the acetate box and the pillow box has chocolate in it (of cause!!)
But as you can see the pillow box is longer than the standard shape. I used the Stampin' Up! pillow box die but folded the card before I cut it.

I thought I would give you a quick tutorial on how to do it.

start by trimming down the card stock to the width of the die but keep the card stock long.
now score and fold the card in half
place the folded card on the die with the folded edge just before the scoring line on the die like on the picture below

now put it thru the Big Shot - it should come out like this
open it out and it will be like this. To hind the middle fold just cover it with a belly band like on my original photo.
Hope that inspires you to get creative with the dies! you can do this to many of the dies - have fun and happy crafting!!
